Honeymoon

Finally, a chance to relax and reflect...

Actually since we had family and friends visiting us during our wedding in July, we didn't get to take our real honeymoon until a year later when we flew to Hawaii.  It was worth the wait!  It was my first time to see the ocean and we got visit our family too.  We spent one week by ourselves on the island of Kauai and one week on the island of Oahu with Haylie & Brian and Coley & Fawn.

This is the Embassy Suites where we stayed on the island of Kauai.  It was a time share that we bought and well worth it.  The island was beautiful as we explored the Na Pali Coast by catamaran; explored the island on our own as well as taking a Movie Tour bus to the north side of the island.  We also explored beautiful Wamaea Canyon.

The Kilauea lighthouse and surrounding wildlife preserve has a large and noisy variety of birds. It was a beautiful view and a wonderful experience.

There are so many things to see when you travel to the paradise islands of Hawaii that you don't know where to start planning your trip.

One of our day trips while visiting the island of Kauai was to go to the Wameia Canyon to this Overlook.  From here you can see the Na Pali Coast.  The next day we took a charter trip with Captain Andy's boat tour on the "Spirit of Kauai".  It was incredible as we saw parts of the island you just can't see any other way -- from the ocean.  Brian and I both recommend this charter if you are visiting the island of Kauai.

Others have gone before or will follow us to the place we fell in love with.  I found Jan's wonderful website for you.   She has captured our experience as well as her own:

suggest you click on it and see what they thought of it.  Why should I bother typing a long explanation when they have already done the work and said almost word for word what is in my heart.  Please check it out to see what we experienced also.  It is an awesome website for HAWAII.
