What to do and where to go in Columbia Falls, Montana:

Note: we discovered that there pretty much isn't anything to actually do IN Columbia Falls.  Its a nice place to visit but you might not want to live there.  Also I do not recommend eating breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe/Casino but I hear its a happening place at night with live entertainment and dancing.  We were also told the best place in town to eat is the Back Room behind the Owls Nest Restaurant but we never actually made it there in time to catch them open and have their famous ribs.  However, we did manage to make the mistake of eating at the Owls Nest Restaurant.  I wouldn't recommend it and that is pretty much what other people told us but we didn't listen to them but wish we had.

What to do in Kalispell, Montana:

This is a big place so there is actually plenty to do and don't think I need to list any links but I definately recommend driving around the Flat head Lake State Park.  It is a scenic lake state park located between Kalispell and Polson on Highways 93 and 35.  Renowned for boating, ailing, fishing, camping and swimming, the park's six units, totaling 2,606 acres, provide public access to the lake.

Just be sure to pay the recommended fees when entering the park or a forest ranger will hunt you down even if you are just visiting for 5 minutes to take a photo and always put the sticker in your car to be viewed easily or a ranger will stop and ask you questions.
